OUR FRIENDS IN THE NORTH

Last week saw further interviews in Kingston and London followed by the incredible show at Cadogan Hall, where the band performed 'Going, Going' in full accompanied by an orchestra and choir.

On Monday 23rd October the documentary heads North to Leeds for three days via an interview in Manchester with Richard Houghton, co-author of the recent Wedding Present book ('Sometimes these words just don't have to be said').

While in Leeds we will speak to more fans as well as completing our interviews with the original four members of the band who recorded the George Best album...

Guitarist Peter Solowka completes our line-up after interviews with Shaun Charman and David Gedge kicked off our production way back in March and bassist Keith Gregory was tracked down in Sydney, Australia in July.

Our cameras will also be visiting the locations that played such a big part in the writing and recording of this album. Though the buildings may have changed over the years the importance of Leeds 6 and it's surrounding areas on this album are still clear to see.

We will of course be back and in greater numbers to cover the big homecoming gig at Leeds O2 in December, but first this trip will provide a fascinating insight into the history of the band and the makings of this album.
